Don’t Dig Up Your Yard — The Trenchless Alternative to Dig-and-Replace Sewer Repair
If a plumber quoted you a few thousand dollars to dig a trench across your yard to fix your sewer line, stop before you sign. In most of Delaware County, that same line can be replaced with no digging at all — and often for less once you add up the cleanup.
What “dig and replace” actually costs you
Most companies quote the old way: a backhoe, a trench cut across your lawn, driveway, or basement floor, the pipe swapped, and then the part of the bill nobody talks about — putting your yard back. New sod, re-poured concrete, a rebuilt driveway apron. The “cheap” dig quote stops being cheap the second the excavator shows up.
The no-dig way — trenchless
We’re a trenchless-forward contractor. Two methods replace a failing sewer lateral without trenching your property:
- Pipe bursting — a new seamless HDPE pipe is pulled through the old one, breaking the old line apart underground. No trench.
- CIPP lining — a new pipe is cured inside the old one. No trench.
That usually means:
- No torn-up yard, driveway, or finished basement — and no restoration bill
- A faster job — many laterals done in a single day
- A 50-year result (new HDPE pipe or liner), not a patch
Older Delco homes, older pipes
A lot of homes here still have clay, Orangeburg, or cast-iron sewer laterals from the build era — the exact lines that crack, scale, and collapse as they age. We camera the line first, show you on screen what’s really down there, and tell you straight whether it needs replacing or just a repair.
